Lucy, a young bonobo at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens enjoys a " monkey biscuit" that the zoo purchases from specialty exotic animal feed companies. These grain-based biscuits provide protein, vitamins, and minerals as part of a nutritionally complete diet.The Jacksonville Zoo bonobos have learned a trick with their monkey biscuits: they place them in the water moat for a soaking. When they are softened to their satisfaction, the bonobos relax for a meal.
